Albino Pleco

someone on craigslist has an albino pleco for sale and says they only grow to 4.5'', ive only been able to find a cple websites with info on them and they say they only grow to 2-3'' in captivity, would this be considered stunting? i just wanna make sure im not putting a big fish in a lil pond, looking at the pictures it looks like a common plec only albino

If they are albino bristlenose they will grow to around 4-6" .If it's an albino gibby they can grow to 18"+. You need to know what species are being offered before you can know adult size.

most likely if a species name isn't given or known by the seller then the fish is a common pleco. generally people know when they have a different species of pleco and price accordingly.

yeah im a lil confused, at first he had it listed as a gold pleco 4.5''(thinkin he meant gold nugget pleco) i sent him an email tellin him they get way bigger then 4.5 inches. he later emailed me back sayin after doin research it is an albino pleco and tht it does stay 4.5''. im goin to have to go take a look for myself, if it i a bristle nose ill buy it, if just a common plec ill pass....

one last question... will a bristle nose be ok in a 25g with a betta? ive read they need alot of current, and in my betta tank the current is very low, would he be ok in a low current?
