algae and cyano

i really want to install a sump for this tank but i guess its a really big deal for a tank that is not predrilled. Does any of you use a sump for a tank that is not predrilled? if yes, please guide me on this process.
as all said it s not a big deal , i built my own overflow and my own sump , i built the overflow by pvc pipes and it cost me less than 8$ just need some cutting and some glueing , that s it ;) i found the idea on net , just google "pvc overflow" ;)

Thanks guys
I read some DIY material and i think i can handle the tank part but i am just not confident about pvc piping and overflow system. i still need to do some more reading on it.

i added some more base rock and rearranged the flow in the tank today.

i am currently running an hob skimmer on this tank. do you think this will be enough for the filtration and for maintaining a healthy tank or do you recommend installing the overflow & sump? plz advice.

i shud have just bought a larger tank that has an overflow system installed in the first place. aaahhhh! LFS do not trade in tanks. i wish they did.

If you're not comfortable using PVC -- worried about cutting to size, fittings, and glueing, you can always use flexible tubing to plumb the drain from the overflow box and the return line from the sump to the display. There's also a flexible drain hose that's commercially made that looks like vacuum cleaner hose, with a fitting on each end designed to slide over common overflow output fitting sizes.

What kind of HOB skimmer is it? There's certainly tanks that utilize HOB skimmers that are sucessful. Installing an overflow and a sump itself doesn't automatically help the tank be any healthier. You can have a very healthy and sucessful tank without a sump.

some pics and ID please

It is a micro brittle starfish.. although rather large for micro. Harmless and good part of your clean up crew. Other thing looks like a snail shell to me. A hermit could live in there as well.
