algae and swordtails

Jordanella floridae are not livebearers nor are they swordtails. They have also been mistaken for cichlids before but in truth, they are not. They are simply killifish that act like cichlids. I used to have these and fed them usually with green filamentous algae aside from other foods. Yes, they are pretty efficient at consuming hair algae but these are not community fish either picking on anyone viciously. I'd classify them as "semi-aggressive" or rate 3/5 aggressive.

Edit: Oops..I may have missed the bit for the swords. Haven't observed them much eating algae when I had them.lol Sorry about the confusion.

Lupe did you even read the article or just the heading?:lipssealedsmilie:
The heading initially. I edited my post. Pap, this isn't my day.:headshake2: So many blonde moments.

Well, livebearers are algae eaters, though I've never heard of Swordtails being very good at it.

Yeah I found it kind of weird...I have a black beard algae I think and i was looking up info on it and i came across this article..
