what do you guys think of these algae attack packs from drs foster & smiths? Are these good packages or are they lacking? Overpriced? This is for a 30 gallon FOWLR.
That really depends on what kind of fish you have in your FOWLR. If you have or will have fish that like to eat hermits or snails, you'd be doing nothing more than buying an expensive dinner for them.
Otherwise, those are pretty common combinations for a clean-up crew, at least the ones I've seen in tanks where I live. If you have a sand bed, you may want to consider getting some nassarious and or cerinth snails to help keep the sand clean.
I'll probably have 1 or 2 Clowns, 1 Firefish, maybe 1 Royal Gramma, or a Goby. I haven't decided but small fish about 3-5 of them. I also plan on getting shaving brush plants and maybe a feather duster or two.
and yes there will be live rock and fiji pink sand.
