algae eater for a betta tank?

I have a 10g betta tank that gets some pretty high amounts of sunlight with the windows open in the mid day. I was wondering what would, if any, be a good pleco to get or something else to help keep the algae in check without dosing the tank full of chems and meds to keep it down?

also the only thing in the tank is the betta and some artificial decorations, plants etc.

You could try a few otos they like groups, so I would try 3.

will have to look into ottos I have never kept them before is there much to worry about with them such as nipping the betta and such or they strictly bottom dwellers? Also will they need driftwood and hiding places like my pl*cos or are they pretty cool with whatever, any info is appreciated.

They wont bother your betta. If anything, they might be a little afraid of him. They prefer to have hiding places. Good luck

sweet. Will have to look and see what i like is there different sizes like a common pleco vs a brsitlenose or what have you? also is any one breed better than another for the size tasnk i have?

Bristlenoses stay smaller than regular plecos, so might be better for a 10 gal. You will have to give him other food too as will not get enough off a 10 gal for full nutrition.
I had a single otto in a betta tank I had once and it harassed my betta. THere seems to be some thought that if there are more ottos they will play together, but I'd watch them .I would swear that the otto thought my greenish blue betta was some kind of algae and since he was still a lot was trying to eat him. I may be nuts..but that was my thought at the time.
