Algae Eater in Jewel Tank?

Is there any kind of algae eater I could put in a tank with a pair of breeding jewel cichlids? Even a snail? The tank is a 46 gal bowfront and the jewels are the only fish in there. Or should I just resign myself to scraping the front glass every few days?

The 46 gallon bowfront is only 36" long (or wide - depending upon how you look at these things)?

I don't thank any algae eater would go in a tank that sized with breeding jewels. In my experience, they'll eat smaller snails and harrass larger ones.

Maybe try feeding less and/or limiting the light in the tank (or if sunlight hits the tank - move the tank or block the area where the sun hits it).

While I like algae eaters, and some algae will always exist, it's usually a light or overfeeding issue and correcting those problems will help more than adding more fish - especially with such aggressive fish.
