algae eaters safe with plants

I have 6 peppered cories and they won't eat algae off of the plants in my tank. They do a great job of cleaning the bottom of the tank from uneaten food / debris though.

If you have the room, get the SAEs
C. Siamensis (Siamese Algae Eater): good for BBA, Hair, Thread, Fuzz. Can grow to 5". Prefers to be in groups of at least 3. Therefore, shouldn't be kept in aquariums below 40g.

I put 3 of these guys in my 125, and WOW what a difference they have made. And they are interesting to watch, very active, and they dont mess with any other fish.
A word of caution though... be sure of what you are buying. and only get the true SAE.

My rubberlip pleco keeps the glass and centerpiece rock pretty clean...

To eat green spot algae, does it depend on the pleco you are getting? I think I have (L159) bristlenose pleco, mine is very brown, and honestly, he doesnt bother too much with eating green spot at all or algae(he eats algae tab -_-)......Would a regular bristlenose pleco (common) eat green spot algae for sure?

I have a regular BN pleco and he does nothing for my green spot algae. I still have to do it with the old putty knife.
