What kind of algae eater is good for my goldfish tank?
I have a 30 gallon tall tank. Right now I have a shubunkin and a comet goldfish in it now. I was thinking of getting a type of Pleco.
Also what kind of algae eater would do well in my 10 gallon tank?
Thanks for the help. :)

Would the oto be for my 10 gallon or my 30 gallon?
I was thinking of getting an oto for my 10 gallon.
But I don't know what kind of algae eater to put in my goldfish tank? I'm gonna buy a thermometer for my goldfish tank. So I'll be able to know that the exact temp is.

I would definitely get the Oto for my 10 gallon tank, but I have no idea what to tell you get for the 30 gallon tank. Remember no matter what kind of algae eater you get you'll have to supplement him with vegetables and algae wafers.

I plan on getting algae waffers and would love to feed my fish veggies.
I just have to figure out how to get it to sink to the bottom for them.

i think you blanch the veggies to get them to sink. (just in case you don't know what blanch is, heat veggie up in water til boils then take off heat and let cool)

blanching by itself doesn't allow them to sink unless you're using somethign like spinach or lettuce. for zucchini you'll have to blanch it and then weigh it down with something (silverware. . . i personally use a few allen keys) or use a veggie clip. blanching a few at a time, then freezing and thawing as needed may make it sink.

Thanks for the advice.
I'll try to give veggies to my goldfish sometime tomorrow.

As for what kind of pleco you can house in your tank, let me go on record now as saying, any common pleco gets way too big. Bristle nose might be a better road to travel if your parameters are up to one.
