Ryan

any thing else????? i have what i believe to be a ramshorn in my other tank... do those do anything about algae????

Ramshorns will do a fine job.:) Apples aren't exactly the greatest at consuming algae nor the MTS. I believe the pond snails also like algae but I've never seen them eat them except the rotting plants and food leftovers.lol

apples or mts wont try to atempt an escape?????

The large apple snails will leave the tank. They are notorious for doing it. They also will mow down all of your living plants with amazing speed.

k then leave those out!!!!!!! anything else from anybody??????

by the way BUMP!!!

Not all apple snails eat plants. But they are notoriuos for escaping, as are nerites. Nerites are the only true really efficient algae eaters. What type of algae and tell us more about your tank.

10gal. tank.....im starting to Finnaly get some green algae..... i have 6 zebra danios and quite a few plants!!! i want to keep the algae under control and i have a (what i think is a ramshorn) in my other tank....small only about 1/4to1/2 in. will it reproduce by it self?????

thanks!!!
