My pond snails don't bother anything other than the duckweed and I am not for sure if they are eating it or just hitching a ride

No, they don't. Some plants, yes but mostly dead and decaying parts. I agree with msjinkzd. Brigs do not eat plants. They are still part of the family of apple snails. You'll want to avoid canas which are confused with brigs.

Albeit mileage varies. Test a few ramshorns with some samples of plants but if these plants rot, they'll eat them.
