Algae on the glass question

If you have an aquarium, then algae are inevitable. Algae can even be beneficial. When nutrient levels are very high in your aquarium, the algae consume the extra nutrients, thus making the water
healthier for your fish. Algae also indicate that the ecosystem within your aquarium is healthy. Do not resort to chemical controlling of algae if you can get by with the natural method. If you try to chase away your algae too regularly, you will be causing too much of stress for your fish.

Is your tank hit by direct sunlight throughout the day? That's a pretty common source of algae.
In my tanks the only one with Algae is my 20g tank and the Algae is only on the glass directly under Light Strip.

I don't keep my tanks near a window, no direct sunlight.
The way I understand it, algae competes with the plants in the tank, so the natural way would be to add more plants?
That brings me to my plants(java fern, mini-Anubia, moss, all low light, some have like rust coloring on the leaves, any idea?
I use flourish in the tank, half a cap for 55gl/65gl every 2 weeks.
