My tank is 1 week 2 days into it's cycle and I am getting some kinda green hair algae growing on the tank walls. It looks like little tufts of grass. Should I just scrub this off or will that make it spread? Params are as follows:

29g bio cube
22lbs of LR and 3lbs in filter compartment (LFS had this for 4 weeks curing)
ammonia<.25 (there might be just a hint of green to the test but my wife thinks it looks pure yellow to her.
Nitrite 0
Nitrate<.2 (if that, again color is real close to 0)
PH 8.2
Calcium 480
KH 9.0
Salinity 1.024 (by refractometer)
Temp 82.3f
Only denizens are 3 astraea snails (freebies)
7 small dwarf blue leg hermits (also freebies)
Both snails and hermits introduced on Saturday.

Any ideas?

If its still in its cycle, I wouldnt bother. Its just your tank naturally regulating the imbalance of nutrients and whatnot.

I think it is more helpful to leave in things when possible...you don't want to interfere with the natural cycle...never know what might grow BECAUSE of the green algae, etc.
