My tank has been up and running for a month. I did a water change yesterday and then today i got really bad brown algae. Does anyone know what cuases this. And also is green algae good.

Umh, the green algae is probably hair algae and no it's not good. What are your water params? The brown sounds to me like it's diatoms are you useing r.o. water when you do your changes? Diatoms need free silica in your water in order to reproduce normally levels are very low but, some municiple water sources/botteling companies use sand filtration.
What do you have in your clean up crew?

I have a cleaner shrimp, 8 bluelegged hermit crabs, 1 scarlet hermit, 4 small turbo snails, 2 zebra ceriths. I did not use RO water this water change cause i ran out but i think that is the reason cause last time i did the water change i didn't get brown algae and this time i used regular water, but i used that dechlorinator stuff. So i don't know.

prolly the influx of other materials from normal tap water... do next few changes in RO water.

green algea is never good

green algae is a weed that is taking in nitrite
good algae is coraline
brown algae is just a build up of poop or high phostphate lvls so check it and then do another water change
get some macro algae to help bring down the nitrate
fishes will only eat green algea
hermitcrabs will help clean the brown stuff

Just some points i thought id make out
