I've noticed... All my snails have a pretty thick layer of algea on their shell. I have them in crystal clear and very clean water. Nothing else has ANY green algea on it. Nothing. Not the rocks, glass.. or anything that I can see.

What can I do 2 get this off? They have really pretty markings on them, and I'd like to be able to see it again!

just take them out and scrub them off with a terrycloth?

Oh thanks. I didn't know if that would stress them or what.
I'll try that.

Also, would MINT Tums be ok to drop in my tank? Would it hurt my Danios?

Uhhhh.... Why would you do that?

Calcium.... for the snails.
I usually use just regular, but I accidently picked up a Mint flavored bottle of Tums.
I was j ust wondering if it would make a difference...

I doubt it, its probably a natural flavor. You don't really NEED to supplement calcium unless your water is soft/pH is low, or possibly if you're raising baby snails, but I never have and my snails have been fine.
