Called my Petsmart in 20721,MD and they are having the same sale as well. Having worked there about a year ago I am about soso on purchasing some fish.. on that list might purchase the smaller species of plecos and the otos, everything else is a nono :/. Also there is completely new management all around so it could have improved last I worked there and I talked to the new head manager the sale is going to last for 2 more weeks.

We are having the sale at Petsmart mostly so they can pull more customers in because our tanks are on sale as well.
Makes me nervous because some noob might come in and say "hey I can afford 3 plecos for my 10 gallon". We cant stop them from buying them just hope they listen to us when we say "DONT DO IT"
We will still carry plecos after the sale. we are not discontinuing them.
We actually are able to say no to anyone we feel will either not take the right care or does not have the right environment for any animal. This applies to any animal we sell in the stores.
I was there last night and not only were the algae eaters on sale but there were a bunch of other fish right at half price. I bought some Angels for 3.33 and they were originally 5.99.
i had no idea rubberlips got so big. for some reason i thought they got the same size as bristlenoses
