Anybody else have any problems with All Glass brand heaters? I had a 200w in my 46g bowfront that recently died. I replaced it with a 300w brand new spare that I had, and I just noticed this morning that even though the heater was set on 78, the water was 85 degrees. I turned the temp down, but will be replacing the heater today.

I see that with a lot of heaters. the exception for me has been the stealth heaters.

nearly all my tanks have these.

I agree about the lack of indicator light, but when you look at the reviews over the years it shows the Stealth heaters are the most reliable of all. Naturally features, style, etc are all a matter of personal opinion but reliability comes with solid numbers. This is how I became a convert to Stealth heaters...much like Eheim Classics, and Honda Civics!

+1 for stealth heaters here. I have three of them running on separate tanks, and the reading on the dial matches the thermometer in each tank +/-1 degree.
