..all my life.

Teenagers do not have a monopoly on ignorance. I find the old timers who refuse to listen to advice far more infuriating.

At least with kids they have an excuse for being rude and belligerent to people who try to help or post advice, they're immature.

The older belligerent or rude people are those who will never learn.

AHHHH....HELLLPP !

Emg, um, I'm 29. I don't think I qualify (unfortunately). I was just saying the older people who act like jerks ( :hi: yep, in some cases I guess I gladly join that group) can be far more aggravating.

Age can contribute to the type of ignorant behavior but is by no means the underlying cause. Some people are just naturally PITA.

:joke:

Hell, I know chaps that have been keeping fish very actively coming up on seven decades...and they are still learning....it is a lifetime process.

Isnt it funny it seems the older you get the more you relize how little you really know?

...and what we really wish we had known when we were younger? ;)

Hey, who sings that song that goes:

"I wish that I knew what I know now,
when I was younger!...."

??? good song...

yeah, I don't think I know everything there is to know, and i'm 16. hell, I get straight A's in school and read non-fiction books every single day, I probably know around 1-2% of everything there is to know. I really love listening to you old fish masters. while I know a lot about fish, I can acknowledge that i still have LOTS to learn. i'm not one of the know-it-all smart guys.

Bwa-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!

Sorry. That just made me laugh. You flatter yourself, there is no way to estimate a percentage of what you could know, because there is always more to learn. The comment was not well considered. You could say "I consider myself to be fairly well-educated" (which I do, consider you to be well educated enough to communicate well), but not that "I am knowledgable about 1% of all in creation."

Just to set you straight. Sure you know your ABC's, but can you write the Cyrillic or Hebrew alphabet? I'm betting no. We've ALL got alot to learn. I never want to stop learning... the one reason I fear death is because (if there is no afterlife) I want to know MORE!

well, yeah, I guess it was a little hubris... sorry. I didn't know saying I knew about 1% of everything there is to know in the universe was an audacious statement. I guess it's more like 0.000000000001%, right?
