Do not think that having spent more time doing something automatically makes you a greater authority than others. That's foolish ;)
I see the point you're all making, but 'experience' does not necessarily equal knowledge. Eg, if you have been a teacher for 30 years, that does NOT mean you are a better teacher than someone who only just qualified. However, you will probably think it does because 'they never would have taught like that in your day', and, shock horror, they may have some better ideas than you.

Just saying. Someone needs to argue the opposition. :)

Excellent point, momar. Actually being a teacher, I have found that a huge chunk of "teaching" is in constant flux. There are some standards that never change, as with any endeavor, but for one, times change, technology and information are ever-expanding, and methodologies learned years ago just DON'T work anymore. I've worked with teachers at university and high school levels who haven't change their spiel--ever!! And they are awful. Some of us continue our "livelong learning," not just for personal growth, but also to keep up with new ideas and strategies. However, I've found that many "new" methods being pushed by "those in the know" are just the same old rigamarole dressed differently with a new name!!
The only thing guaranteed not to change is the fact that things will change!!
Thank God!!!!

See, us teenagers make good points sometimes, despite all the ignorant know-it-all-ism. :D

 Sure you are.

I'm sorry who the heck are you again? The obnoxious hypocrite who likes telling other people how to act?

I could care less what you think. You're an idiot who doesn't follow your own advice.
