checked, none in anything I fed them

what is your pH and kH? I think if acclimated properly, you hardness and pH would have effected teh eventual offspring or ccaused a gradual die-off, not a large volume die-off.

ok PH is 7.8 and the KH (test strip, so not know how accurate) is 180ppm
all show that my conditions are ideal, is it wrong?? I yet to understand the KH and GH
