Almost bought it tonight.... a rant

that guy may have been drunk or high on drugs, you know. did he seem a little odd looking?

Nope, just stupid. He really seemed to think it wasn't his fault, because after all, he did see two out of three of us! Sheesh....

Kinda funny now.... He was never apologetic or anything - no remorse or acceptance of guilt, until the three of us turned to walk back to our bikes. Called us "Sir" and "Gentlemen" and everything.... Every other word was "sorry".... LOL I think at that point he considered himself very lucky.

Something about our backs just made him really uneasy... ;)

Some people just have no common sense! Glad that it worked out and nothing too bad happened! What would we have done around AC without you?!? *hugs* :p:

I'm certainly glad to hear that you came out of this unscathed. Here in california its practically suicide to ride a motorcycle... the a**holes here think they own the friggin road and will hit you, blame you, and then try to sue you for giving them whiplash. (some girl tried that one on my mom... the accident caused a $10 scratch to her car... and this other b**** was tryin to claim whiplash...) I really want to learn how to ride and get a motorcycle, but like I said, out here in cali, especially here in LA, its just suicide to ride a bike here. I've seen 3 fatal accidents involving a motorcycle... and that's enough to keep me off of one until I move somewhere else.

I usually play the "what-if" game. I try to think of the stupidest thing a driver can possibly do, and assume that he is about to do just that. It's all about threat assessment.

This is what I do in every day driving. My dad taught all of us to think like this. Always know where your escape is, and always assume the other driver is gonna do something stupid. Always be ready.

:D

Anytime, doll!

I hate jerks who cant respect a rider. IMO bikes own the road. I always get over as far as I can when they want to split the lanes in trafic, wave 'em on, give em the right of way. I never follow close and let them be free. I expect the same when I am riding. You should go get a handful of nuts and bolts to keep in your pocket. Sometimes that works better than a horn at distances greater than arms length.

Well, I had to come out of it in one piece... What if they had stuck me in a hospital that didn't have DSL??? Yikes! Cuz what would I do without AC?

.

It's more like, What would we do without you?! :(
