What are some good tankmates for Paradise fish in a 10gal? I am looking into anything that isn't a livebearer or bottom feeder, but if those are the only options, than I am willing to accept your advice.
Oh, and before the whole "it depends on your fish's attitude" post, my Paradise fish is almost cichlid-like in aggressiveness. It poked the eye out of a poor little cory! I am looking for something fast and semi-aggressive that will stand up for itself and not get picked on.
OK, I was going to go get fish today, but I can't now because the store is closed and I was waiting for such "reliable" help, but I guess it's not too reliable is it?
I eventually gave up on giving my paradise fish tankmates. Unless you can manage to get a pair, they do best alone. If you're lucky and have a female, tankmates aren't normally as big a prob, but males are horrid.
I have kept a female, with white clouds, a bulldog catfish and kuhli loaches. The kuhlis loaches were so odd they were ignored.
I agree--very few fish will be able to survive. I have a male black in a tank by himself, and will not risk any fish in there with him. He attacks the snails, and my hand, without any fear.
FWIW--you gave people 3 hours to respond, on a Sunday in the spring. Reliable isn't the same as speedy, and you can't reasonably expect to get both at your convenience.
My male is also required to be by himself. He's a spunky little bugger.
Also, Orion is right. Complaining that you're not being helped (in such a short amount of time) is less likely to get answers. You catch more flies with honey...
