Alternanthera reineckii "rosefolia" Vs. Amano shrimp

I heard from one person that amano shrimp will eat this plant, any salt to that from those with experience?

I've never had an amano shrimp eat any plant, including Alternanthera reineckii.

Cherries and Amanos snack on this plant. I have them all and I have seen them do it. They have destroyed this plant, and only this one.

Then again, I throw a lot of wafers in the tank. Keeps the shrimp happy.

Well the mix of my 25 -35 cherries and amanos do not bother my Alternanthera reineckii, that I've noticed in my 36 gal or 10 gal.

If they did I have to say, I'd choose to keep the Alternathera over the shrimps. The bright red colors in this plant are amazing, I love it!

Sounds like a crap shoot, hmmm. Perhaps I'll only add otos.

Do not take advice from them anymore
Been there, done this specifically.
You need to make sure you have good light and CO2 for this plant.
