Altolamprologus compressiceps (Orange Fin) PICS

My obsession can stop. I got a pic that I am happy with.

It was fun trying to get it.

Now for a new obsession - any suggestions?

Yes, you can now take a few pics of your Cyps. :evil_lol:

Most excellent Pitt!

Do you have a rough collection point on the yellow comps? I am curious to see what they look like.

I'd like a group of wild inkfin.

I like those Orange fin kids!

...the fish want to pose for me..

I like them Pitt :)

Mine don't like to pose either. It takes a lot of patience to get a good shot. As they get used to their new home, find a spot that they like and camp out with your camera on that spot with the shutter half way pressed down and prefocused in on that spot. My spot was where they all head to when they see me and are expecting to get fed. They will rush to that spot with fins erect. It may take a little while for your new fish to figure this out.

I also had the horizontal and verticle adjustment on my tripod a little lose so I could swing it a bit if needed.

Cool fish (as usual)!

Yeah i don't have that much patience man hehehe but i will try they were just added a few days ago skittish fish..

Awesome pics. I have 4 of them that look about identical to that. I have managed to grab a few fry from the tank and have around 13 fry that are doing well. Maybe 3/4 of an inch long now. I need to figure out a good breeding shell/cave for them. Right now they are laying eggs on lace rock which makes em hard to gaurd. I will start a new thread for that, thats actually why I logged on.

Pitt, your Wild Alto Yellow Zaire Comps have me curious,... I have never heard of a wild yellow comp from Zaire (that certainly doesn't mean they don't exist). What location they were collected from? Yellow can be an indication of different species collected close to Longola (but who knows ). Just curious.
