I bought 3 altum angels two weeks ago, they are doing very well, eating, swimming healthy, but lately I have been noticing that they have been chasing each other and biting each other quite often. I have them in a 29 gallon w/4 clown loaches and asynodontis multi. pair. They are prob around 3 inches tall so they have plety of room to swim. Was just wondering if it any cause of concern. Btw all water conditions are perfect ph 6.8 etc.

they are sorting out who is boss, which is a precourser to the adult pairing and related behaviors

if two of them pair up the third wheel will have to be removed for his own safety as parents to be are rather intolerent of other angels in small spaces like your tank

I also think your tank is going to be overstocked biologically in the long run. those fish will not be able to grow to maturity with the tank stocked as it is.

your angels sound like they are responding to the crowding and trying to enforce some more space, which is impossible because the tank doesn't get bigger because they do so.

Sweet,

I have a 75 gallon tank all planned out, but can't start on it yet because other things are more important. Have fun :)
