Am I overstocked? - 46g bowfront

ya and clown plecos only get four inches so thier fine

i have two that ive had for 2 years....not so long but fat as heck!

angels are not that big..the largest species of angel is the Altum and they would not be too big for a 46.

I keep breeding pairs in a 29.

it only takes 2 angels to form a pair (yes they have formed pairs that are 'same' sex.) if you keep several together it increases the probability you will get a pair.

I got a pair with just two..just so happened one was female and the other male.

what the heck were you putting salt in the tank for????
treating for an illness i hope..otherwise skip the salt..angels are freshwater...meaning no salt..regardless of what the fish store says..unless the fish is brackish..you usually don't need salt.

So how old do they have to be to actually start forming pairs? Back when there were three angels in the tank, the current living one would often chase the other two and nip at them...but most of the time it'd leave the others alone. Yes, I put the salt in to treat disease, cuz i introduced a couple of unquarantined fish into the tank, which died shortly after...I was actually afraid that they would introduce some disease, so i put in salt
