Am I ready to start???!!!!

HI ALL
I have a 75gall that has been running an Eheim 2215 for about a week,

I read on a website that its best to add plants early and add lots so that they help breakin the tank
Is this true????
Can I go ahead and start adding plants???LOw Lights???

I have not set up a DYI yet

Any help or suggestions are appreciated

My advice: start with easy, fast growing plants. Hygro, Bacopa, Anacharis and Water Sprite.

Good advice from Joe. I will add Egeria and Salvinia(a floater) if you can find it.
Load that puppy with as many plants as you can afford and you can start adding fish(a few initially) immediately without fear of problems with ammonia or nitrItes.
The theory is that the plants will use all of the toxins that the fish will help produce as long as the balance is in the plant's favor. A lot of plants.......a few fish. This is your buffer until the tank can develop a nutrification system to deal with the toxic ammonia and nitrItes. Just be patient and give nature a chance to take it's course.
I'm a bit concerned about your reference to 'low light' however.
What do you mean by that? What is your wattage? Without enough light those plants won't be able to do the job you're putting them in to do. Or do you mean to turn the lights on low?

Low Light

Well I have a 75 gal with 48" CSL power compact 2x65w
From what I understand this is low light and may not grow Sags, Dwarfs Sags,and Swords

Is this true...???? I am looking at 1.73 watts per gal.

I have had to pull Amazon Swords out of most of my tanks because they were so out of control and invasive that they were shading all the other plants. This is with only 80watts of NO lighting over a 55 gal.(20" tall) tank. I do use CO2, but still think that they will grow in your environment. I think the Sag. will do ok in that light as well.
