I have a couple amano shrimp in my tank and I came home to find one of them had changed to a blue color. I was under the impression they were always a clear/whitish color. Is there something wrong? thanks

tis normal.. as long as the body doesn't go milky it usually ok.. probably just reaction to something minor

They are fed shrimp pellets with my crs. Probably pick up the flake/pellet food I feed my fish as well though. Saw the other one and it is normal clear color

One or two of the Amonos in my boyfriends tank just did that too. I was actually just about to ask what the reason may be.

The amanos in my 75 eat alot of clado algae, i equivocated it to a diet thing as the ones in my 30g are "normal" colored and eat prepared foods.

The shrimp looks healthy, no unusual opacity etc so I would not be concerned.

I think that's really cool looking! And I would trust msjinkzd's opinion on the matter... she's the queen of inverts. (not in a spineless way, in a cool snail and shrimp way)
