... could anyone tell me their experience with anamo shrimp with other bottom dweller type fish? I have a 20g high right now with 3 anamo shrimp and a 1 kissing gourami.

I guess I can figure that the anamo shrimp can take care of themselves .. but can anyone recommend any other fish that would hang out at the bottom and not be annoyed or aggressive towards them (no plecos)?

I have six amano shrimp (3 large females and 3 small males) with 5 otocinclus catfish in a 10 gallon tank. They get along well, and both are relatively shy. However, the amanos are very proactive when going for food. I've seen a large female pick up and swim away with almost an entire half of an algae wafer that was bigger than she was! They dominate the action when it comes to feeding.

So sometimes I worry about my otos getting enough to eat. It seems that they fare a bit better when I put in a zucchini slice.

Dave, my experience with otos and ghost shrimp has been the same. The ghosties will come out eagerly at feeding time and try to make off with something that weighs more than they do! :D My otos are much more skittish, and I sometimes worry that they're eating enough, too. In order for the otos to get enough food, I have to put so much in there that the other fish end up looking gorged. For some reason, my otos aren't taking to veggies.

Amanos will be fine with anything that cannot eat them, which really means anything with a mouth smaller than the shrimp's width. They are very fast and have long feelers, so they are able to get out of the way before most fish get near them.
