So i never seen this before.. i've had my shrimp for about a week now and the littlest one is totally FREAKING OUT all of a sudden... i look in the tank and he's swimming frantically all over the tank for past hour or so.. mostly near the top but really going ALL over.. and looks like he's trying to climb the water fall from the filter at times...

my other shrimps are just chilling like everything is A-okay and my snail is business as usual... anyone have any ideas as to why my shrimp is freaking out?

Is it a new shrimp maybe? Did you acclimate the shrimp properly when you got him?

If he's the little one, he's likely a male reacting to pheramones put off by a female. How many do you have? How many are big and how many are little?

Do you have any fish in the tank bigger than the Amanos? I have seen my Amanos climb HOB filters edges and jump due to stress from fish bigger than they.

one bigger and one smaller (i concluded that both were male.. but maybe not?).. so that IS a possibility

no fish

And I'll third that vote! First time I saw all my male amanos freaking out like that in my 75G tank....I did a water change thinking they were dying! LOL! They get real hyper swimming all over the tank, mostly near the surface, when there's a lady "ready".

Oh, I didn't know that.. I'm a shrimp noob, hah. lol Tried to help, sorry supersudo.
