Amano Shrimp

Tom, if you enjoy nature now, get yourself ready for when the Creator restores paradise!

Mr. J: Not a big fan of rap, unless it glorifies Jesus (or sounds like DC Talk). BTW, it is amazing to me how scrawny, spindly shrimp can defend themselves!

Dustin: Yep, were here ;) I try to avoid putting my faith down others throats, but as the song says, "I will not go quietly!"

tom: if youre saying you dont go to church and consider yourself a Christian let me discuss something:

Many churches may not be run in a glorifying manner and many of the people that go to some churches may not be genuine in their faith, but belonging to a body of believers is something God calls us to do. Its scriptural. So if you dont go to church, I suggest belonging to some sort of Christian group, like a bible study or something. Cause living a life of solitude as a Christian isn't as benificial to your relationship with God and his people as actually being involved in a Christian community.

but if I just totally missed the point of you saying nature was your church, tell me.

to remain on topic so people dont get mad at me, yeah, shrimp can be fiesty. My shrimp, however, just shoot away from whatever is bothering them.

btw, I want some shrimp in with blue acaras, does anyone think that would be alright?

Much of what I believe is centered in what I see. I have faith in plants, life, creation etc. These are part of God to me. My GF was the minister for the largest Church in TN at one time. Many in my family possess deep convictions and involvements. I have fully discussed the religion of several faiths. I am at 100% peace with this and what I am doing in life. Folks like to interpert things to make what they believe their point/opinions. Living and practicing this awareness is more important to me than hanging out with others discussing the issues but ....some folks do indeed need to satisfy this. That's fine. I am just not one of those people most of the time. Some need reminders, I get mine seeing nature. Sometimes I do discuss things, but when it happens, it happens.

God gave me a brain and reason, not using it is "sin", letting my self and everyone else around me down IMO. Folks owe it to themselves to live up to their potential. But that's their free will to do so or not. Like everyone, I may seem conservative on some issues(the ten commandments), perhaps radical on others(Evolution).

Changing a bad to a good is my goal with plants, life and people. It's pretty fun/satisfying. If I can change a few folk's bad day into a good one, seems like a good deal to me. By helping others, you help yourself. It's what comes out of you that counts. This is universal. And it can be applied to planted tanks even.

Thou shalt grow thy fruitful plants without the evils of algae. So go forth and plant, focus on thy plants, not on the evils of algae.

Tom Barr

You have helped me both directly and indirectly on a number of occasions. Because of that help, my planted tank is stable and thriving. Thank you :)

Tom, I would love to discuss this with you further at a more appropriate place. I believe your position on this matter is untenable, espcially for one who puts as much thought into matters as you do.

ah...plantbrains and I think very much alike.

I guess I was 4 YO when I got up in front on a sermon at a large congregation, escaping my mother's grasp, my grandfather, got a hold of me(he was the minister) and kept on speaking while setting me on his side. I placed my hand over his mouth about then as he continued to talk. He responds to congregation
"I bet you all have been wanting to do that for years". :)

Okay, I'll get off the plant pulpit:)

Regards,
Tom Barr

"I bet you all have been wanting to do that for years".

That's hilarious! My pastor will enjoy that one :p

BTW Tom, How do Amano shrimp factor into the bio-load? I would like to get more, but I want to keep my bio-load on the lighter side.

I would also love to discuss that other topic with you some other place, some other time...
