so I have a few amanos, and one is FAT with eggs, looks like she's twice the size as usual... I know the fry need brackish water to mature... and I'll have a brackish tank within a month, the tank is up and running, but not yet transitioning to brackish.

is there anything I can do to possibly have this happen?
what is the timeframe from egg laying to hatching?

I'm not sure, but with most shrimp, the eggs will become more translucent, with dark spots (where the eyes are) a few days before they hatch.

FYI, you will need to steadily increase the salinity of the tank, or have multiple tanks with water ranging from freshwater (for the adults) to full sea water in order to have the Amano larva go through all of the developmental stages to adulthood.
