amazing tanks

the tanks do seem huge, but they also seem absolutely stuffed full of fish. what about the one with like 4 oscars, an arowana, redhooks, and about 20 other medium to large fish? yeah, the tank is huge, but there's fish in every square foot of tank. that's overstocked to me.

also, i think it detracts from the overall look of the tank having 20 different species of fish. the tanks are gorgeously scaped, i will not deny that at all, but having so many different large fish really draws your eye away from the scape, and more towards the fish. i think species tanks or only 2 or 3 species of fish looks much better. my favorite has to be the goldfish tank.

moving your cursor to the "information" tab will bring up the tank dimensions and volume. Some of the tanks are over 500 gallons. Sorta hard to overstock a tank like that.

Also, with african tanks, slightly overstocking is necisary to decrease aggression to individual fish(they can get lost in the crowd) additional maintanance is done to account for the bio-load. Go to Malawimehem and check out some of thier tanks. Quite overstocked by AC standards.

That sight really put things into perspective for me. Now I completely understand how much too small my house is! Their tanks are stunning though.
