My amazon sword plant has put out two shoots which have a few "new plants" on them. When and how do I plant these new ones. Smiles, Quill

They should plant themselves, but just push the roots into the gravel.

my amazon mother plant has a whole bunch of shoots with new plants that are growing roots, but they are all pointing up and someone of them sticking out of the water!!! Also, the plants itself doesnt seem to want to stay planted it wants to float, and my pleco uprooting it all the time doesnt help either, what do you guys do in these situations?

the shoots on my plant are growing up toward the top, also. Some of the "baby" plants have roots already. I may just clip, plant and see what happens. :)

same here! although one of the plants has its runner extending horizontally across my tank now and its close to the bottom, if all the babies on the runner grow into plants its gonna be quite a jungle in there!

I just carefully pulled the baby amazons off the shoot and planted them in the tank. They are growing just fine:)
