I have 2 of these shrimp and one seems to be very aggressive towards the other. It's holding it in it's front legs by it's head. I've seen it doing that a couple of times. Now being one and they are both alive since I put the net in and they are moving. Is the other one dieing? It's a little disturbing to me. They are constantly near one another.

Hmm, that's a new one for me. I haven't seen any sort of aggression out of these shrimp, either from adults or juveniles, and I have a tank of over 300 juveniles at the moment.... That's kind of strange.
Is the weaker one moving well? If the shrimp was not doing well, I guess the dominant one could be seeing it as a food source. On that note, are they fed well? Other than adding some food or seprating the two, maybe you could try adding more places for the shrimp to hide. Sorry that I can be of more help.

yeah that seems kinda weird the lfs i got mine from had like 30 in a ten gallon and i watched them for a bit and didn't see any aggresion, thats part of the reason i got them. The 3 in my tank are fine with one another so far.
there is more algae in the tank than I care to admit. Once they are separated I can't tell who is the aggressor and who is the submissive one. Although I drop in algae wafers I never see any of the shrimp eating it. So I think they're eating enough. Very Strange for Sure! I'll let you know how it goes.

If you have some flake food, you could try feed them a little of that. My adults have never had a taste for the algae wafers and won't even touch them. They prefer eating whatever flakes the fish don't get to. They also aren't that great going after the algae in the tank. So, just because there's algae or algae wafers, it doesn't necessarily mean they are eating. Of course, my adults could be acting differently than other's.
What's weird is that the juveniles devour both algae wafers and tank algae. I haven't been able to figure out why that is.
