ammonia and nitrites

my ammonia is low but my nitrite are kinda high what shoudl i do

at least a 40% water change, don't clean anything. just remove the water

How high, how low? Fishless, fishy cycle?

i have a 48 g and 8 fish in it i just put them in they are all healthy and swiming around jus the day i noticed the nitrite a little high but i got no ammonia

you really want nitrite to be 0, or very close to it. It is just as bad for the fish as the amonia is! Do a water change, wait and test after an hour or so, and if its still high do another water change
