I would like to invite anyone who may be interested to our weekly pond chat at http://chatrooms.aaquaria.com/chat/. Tom's Chat is configured so you have to register before you can enter the rooms. This only takes a few seconds, you pick a nickname and password that's it - you'll get an email confirmation of your register info shortly after. Last week our disscussion touched on quarantine and KHV(koi herps virus). KHV is a very quick killer that attacks the kidneys and gills, which only seems to effect koi. A group of scientist have now claimed they have "isolated" the virus strain and suggest the name be changed to CNGV(carp nephritis and gill necrosis virus). This will be an open topic for "general" discussion, where questions may be asked and given informative answers. I have asked a "guest chatter" to attend and he has kindly accepted. His name is Steve Childers. Steve has a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding Koi keeping and Ponding. I'm honoured that he has accepted the invite I sent. Along with Steve another guest may attend if he has time - Newt is a good friend and we go way back. He's a great guy with a wonderful sense of humour and is an experienced koi keeper/ponder as well.
Looking forward to this up-coming chat! Should be loads of fun and very informative! Hope to See you there!
