Anacharis dying....salvageable? (pics inside)

Hmm, I do have one of those but no sunlight (sucky placing in my apartment). I will try it, though! The container is really small, however (one of those containers bettas come in).

But when the plants are healthy, how do you float them without filtration problems?
 
You can loosely tie them with cotton thread, or redirect flow, but once they get healthy you can plant them like normal
 
Floating them and leaving your tank light on will work fine.8 hours a day for the light is plenty. No need to mess around with removing them and placing them in a betta cup. Just let them float at the top of the tank.
