anarchis destroyed?

do you know how long zuccini will last in the water?
does it sink or float?

I weigh it down with one of those plant weights. A piece of zucchini only lasts for a day and a half in my tank but I have a group of otos, amano shrimp, cherry shrimp and snails. They all get their share.

I wouldn't let it sit for more than two days to avoid pollution.

Ditto on the plant weights. Lefty takes it through the rind overnight, but I leave it in for 24 hours so the flagfish has something to munch.

fyi, don't forget to blanch fresh veggies. 60 seconds in boiling water works.

thanx
this should be a fun experiment :)
they better eat it! lol

Read the sticky on pleco dietary needs thread in the bottom feeders forum for how to prepare the zucchini for the otos. I suggest the poaching with garlic technique, ime it works best and great for stimulating appetite.

Be aware that your other fish may eat the zucchini too and you may have to drop 2 pieces in.
