aaww, Beth that stinks! I would def. get out of the lease if he does not lower the price. If you are in a current lease how can he legally raise it? I sure hope things start to look up for you soon.

Our lease was not broken, but I think it is void, because the apartment was not livable, and they did not have any openings on the property. Instead they relocated us to another one of thier properties ( it should have been an equivelent to what we had, and it sure is not). I still have not gotten a reply from the owner. I've had pretty good contact with this guy from the beginning, hopefully he will reply. If not, I'm going to the news!

Sometimes bad things happen in bunches kinda like grapes! Big stinkin' rotten grapes!
I am sorry about the apt. fire can't understand them raising the rent. I'd raise a real stink about it too!
I am in a bit of shock about the rent prices to begin with.. I mean wow!
