LOL, he sure is. I have a proven pair in one tank and may have to work that male and the unproven male between the 6 or so that are ready to go. Should be overrun with eggs and fry in no time!
 
the way the parents are taking care of their fry is remarkable. ive watched both mom and dad clean their babies (i watched them spit them back out). it looks like they are preparing to move them back to the spot they were spawned in; mom and dad have been taking turns diggin in the original it and moving pieces of fluorite around.

its been amusing to see them peck at the glass at me as i peer in. ive been trying to disturb them as little as possible.
 
the fry were eaten again. however, with any luck, they should spawn again today
