Anemone mouth problems.

yes that is very important.

I guess i was on an Impulsive buying streak.

but what ticks me more is the LFS guy didnt stop me. i had told him my tank was less than a week old.

You may have gotten someone that didn't care, but you might have gotten someone that is new. It's up to us to do our research for that reason. I know its hard when you are tempted by the tanks at a LFS. Trust me, we've all been tempted and made mistakes. Best thing for you and you livestock though is for you be successful. The way to success is a lesson in patience. I hope you stick with the hobby and continue to expand your knowledge. It really is a great hobby.

they wouldnt take him back. They told me "due to the fragile and perishable nature of anemones we do not offer returns for them"

I know no one else in my area who would have taken him.. I fed him brine shrimp every day. but he turned completely black and smelled god awfull so i removed him at once.

Lesson learned.Dont mess around with anemones:(

This is the case with most stores.. You need to become the expert and read and read and read before you make your purchases. Like they say Ignorance is no excuse for breaking a law...The same goes with keeping pets of any kind quite honestly. I hate to be so blunt about it and its horrible that you have lost the anemone as it was a very nice specimen. But before you put anything else in your tank go to the store see what you like and research the heck out of it before you make the purchase. That should be the lesson learned. As Grins once said its easier to bend the rules once you know what the rules are..

oh no worries grins im in the hobby for good. its just i learned the hardway about saltwater tanks. i should have researched more and realized that Saltwater and Fresh are totally different in cycling stages and many other key components. along with the temperamental creatures i put in my tank.
