Anemones

2 months and counting:

It started out in a tank with meha lighting. Then it went into my 55g under t5s, and now it's in my 29g under cf. Of course, it's a 29g with 220w of CF, so that could make a difference.

Also, for me, I had the perfect rock for him, with a huge hole in it that didn't go all the way thru, so he can sink right in if he feels the need.

And I've moved that rock SEVERAL times, the last time to a totally different tank.

Still happy. ;)

Depending upon the species, anemones can be kept in a wide range of lighting schemes, so long as relative amounts of intensity are met. For the more common species, such as H. crispa, M. doreensis, E. quadricolor, and S. haddoni, multiple pc, VHO, T5 and MH are acceptable, so long as there are enough bulbs. More demanding species, like H. magnifica and S. gigantea almost require MH and prefer a point-source style of lighting. Until I upgraded to t5s, I kept a very large female H. crispa under VHOs for over 10 years.

a month and a half..it moved the first night to the top right of tank and has been happy so far..i feed it 1/4 silverside once a week..I have 2x65 watts PC
so far so good..still have mixed answers about what kind of anemone..i have settled with Condi, but have been told it could be a LTA (long tentacle anemone) or a Atlantic anemone..don't know if these are all the same

Thanks to all for the really great information! Don't want to just jump into this without exploring the possibilities.
