It all depends on what type of anemone this is...what SP. is it?? and what lighting setup is it?? how long has the tank been running??
I have a pink tip and he moves around the tank as he sees fit. Sometimes he is a tad higher up sometimes not. He usually seeks medium lit areas with great water flow.
As Reef said we need more info. What do you mean by "normal daytime light"? Do you mean daylight bulbs and if so what kind of fixture? Is this PC, T5, MH, etc.? Different anemones will require different things as well, although expect the anemone to move if it isn't happy with conditions where it is (light, flow, water quality)
It really depends on the species as well as its other living conditions, but if we look at it generally, many anemone require plenty of light, about 2-5 watts per gallon. Hope that helps!
Don't you feel that the watts per gallon rule is a bit outdated since the use of T5s have become popular?
That works too and is a good option, but like you and Reefscape said, we don't have much information. Perhaps it could help leesst200 if s/he had an estimation of what s/he might be looking for.
