So i'm a little concerned. I just did a water change, and when i poured the new water in, my rose shriveled up completely and spit out the krill i had just fed him. I probably shouldnt have fed him right before doing a water change, but i totally spaced. Is the anenome ok? Or is there anything i should do?

Help!

MUCH love

Don't do anything. Any drastic change in flow, temp, alk, etc. is best to leave alone and let settle out on it's own.

This example is another good reason for extra remote water volume via a sump. I always do my water changes in my sump.

i think you can put a sump on about any tank, but i'm a newbie so i may be wrong. i know if it's an acrylic one you can drill the holes for the plumbing, but i'm not sure if it's glass. i have glass so i'm not sure how i'd go about adding a sump to that.....

there is always a way.

look for acrylic overflows. this equates to roughly the same as drilling your tank for a built-in overflow and returns. the acrylic overflow will siphon water over the egde of your tank and then let it drain into your sump, where you then have your heaters, filtration, skimmer, etc. and then a return pump to pump it back over the edge.

a sump is always an option, but it may be easier to design into the tank before it has been filled.

CPR CS100 Overflow Box

yeah just get an hangon overflow box which is going to make your room sound like a drain hehe very annoying sounding as ooja3k said there is always a way
