can anyone help me with my anemone

Hi ~ My anemone is grayish and very small i am new to the saltwater tank in general and i bought that yesterday and it was fine this mornign but then tonight i noticed it was gray and had barley any life to it how do i know if it is sick and how to treat it ? please get back to me as soon as possible ! thank u

Hi, and welcome to AC!
Can you give us some more info? What size is your tank? How long has it been set up? What other creatures/livestock do you have in it? What are the water parameters: SG, Ammonia, nitrates, nitrites, and PH for starters?

i have anenmies after i feed one of the small ones it shrivels up i have a big one thats the size of a dinner plate that one will fold up at feeding time then flatens back out the small one seems to shrivel up and turn gray then the next day it will be back open and normal i think its normal as my tank has be setup for 5 years nitrates are 0 same with nitrite and ammonia so i would not get to worried ..

some times it can shrivel up for two days then it will be open again and look helthy

Generally anemones do veyr poorly in brand new tanks and don't survive well. Brand new is anything less than 1 year. And even then most experienced saltwater peopel have trouble keeping them alive for more tha a few months at a time. Read the article on anemones in the article forum.
