Angel Compatibility

I have a 90 gallon tank with 2 pearl gouramis, 5 serpae tetras, 4 black skirt tetras, 1 rafael cat, 2 emerald cories, and 6 rosy red barbs. I've never kept angelfish and want to get two. So my questions are:

Can two angelfish (regardless of gender) be kept together or can you only keep a mated pair together?

I recently found out my pearl gouramis are both male, but they seem to be getting along, so is this a problem? Will they bother the angels?

Oh, and on a side note I seem to be having problems with blue-green algae (cyanobacteria). My nitrates are extremely low (around 5), and from what I've read I probably have too much phosphates in my tank. How do I lower my phosphates?

I would rather go with 4 angels and wait for to to pair up. Although I feel they should be fine in a 90 if only 2.

As for the gourami's, what size are they and what size are the angels you are thinking of getting?

Watch for fin nipping from the tetras, other than that I'd think they'd be fine. I would increase your numbers of tetras to about 8 or so and corys to at least 5. The larger group of tetras will help reduce nipping and the corys really like to be in groups.
