angel with redbelly paco?

my friend has 2 red belly's in a 125 gallon tank both about 18'' and they seem to just grow to the size of the tank will allow. but they also will eat smaller fish when there hungry so your friend might not want to put small fish with it depending on how big it is now.

Growing to the size of the tank is a huge misconception. While it is "technically" true, that is only because the fish are stunted and die before they reach their true potential.

It's something I had to explain to a PetSmart manager on Sunday when I was at the store and the employee sold 5 goldfish to a man with two little girls and a fishbowl. Unfortunately people at the pet stores are often sadly misinformed. The manager understood that the fish die quickly, but did not know why. She was also convinced that the 1" per gallon rule was appropriate. I explained that one to her a bit as well. Whether or not she uses that information going forward is up for debate though. We'll see.
