When is it safe to assume that a breeding pair will NOT form?
I have 7 angels in my 60 gallon tank, and I'm planning to move 2 of them to an empty 29 eventually. I'm planning to wait to see if any pairs form or if any aggression issues develop before I decide which 2 to move.
They were all about dime size when I got them 4 months ago, but they've grown at different rates. 1 is still only about nickel size, 1 has grown to over silver dollar size, and the remaining five are quarter-half dollar size. So far, they're still all getting along with each other, although 2 of them spend most of their time hiding behind my plants.

I would say you still have some time to go.
at dime size the angels would not be very old..maybe 10 weeks

add 4 onths and they are still a bit young to determine if pairs will form.,

chances are in favor of a pair forming. but wait a couple more months.. until then njoy the bliss.
