Hi guys. I just recently added 6 glofish to my tank. Ever since they went in one of my angels went on a hunger strike. He looks fine physically but he's not his usual feisty self. All the other fish are fine and acting normally. My water stats are 0, 0, 10. Do you think he's not feeling well or does he have his nose bent out of shape from the new arrivals? I hope he's ok...he's my favorite fish.

The fish were QT'd for a week. They're all in a 48 gallon tall tank now . I put the new fish in Saturday but he didn't seem bothered at first...he was actually kind of chasing them. He was still eating for the first couple of days but now he doesn't seem interested. He was quite an aggressive eater before. Maybe he just needs to get adjusted to the new guys since they're very active little buggers.

keep an eye on the angel.

it should return to normal pretty quickly.

a healthy angel can easily go for several days without eating.

but their normal characteristic is that of an aggressive eater.

I had this happen to me when I changed their food. I went to a better quality food IMO and they didn't think it was. So i had two angles who like the cheap food. Then my male did it again to me when I stopped feeding bloodworms every other day. I ran out and hadn't gotten to the store to buy more. They can be picky little buggers but worth every bit of it!

So, I got some frozen bloodworms and he still isn'y really eating. He looks like he's starting to get thin. There is no stringy poop.....no poop at all really. I thought constipation but he wouldn't eat peas. He still swims around and isn't lethargic or anything. Could it be a parasite or something? He does have tiny black specks on him but he's always had them since I can remember so I'm not sure if that's just his colouring or something bad. I have no clue what to do. If anyone can help I sure would appreciate it. I'm pretty attached to this guy. Thanks.

If the angel is bloated i would suspect constipation .
if it is not eating there could be other issues.
no stringy poo , anything coming out the backside(anus)??

you may need to consider metro or jungle anti parasite tabs. metro is actually an anti biotic.

could be bacterial or parasite. unknown atm and the best way to find out is to have stool examined.

but SOP for me with angels and Discus is a round of parasite meds.
