What are some good tank mates for angelfish in a 25gal? And also the tank has no lid so they cant be ones that will jump out?

How many angels do you have in there right now?

I've always heard that you should have 10g of water per angel. I have 2 in my 55g, and I keep them with black skirt tetra's, Columbian tetras, Jumbo neons, danios, and a dwarf gourami. If you have good filtration and do bi-weekly or weekly waterchanges, you could get by with adding a small school of small tetras, or a couple of 2-3 inch fish. If you add the smaller fish now, the Angels won't likely to see them as food when they get bigger.

Domestic bred Angels can breed as early as 6 months from the time they started swimming. Sizewise, I've seen them breed at a little bigger than a quarter in body size.

25gal is a good size for 2 angels. However, they will get big, so this will limit the bioload available for other fish - like jm1212 said, go for a midwater school of 6-8 tetras or other schooling fish of about 2" length (any smaller they may be eaten, any larger you'll be pushing the bioload) - harlequin rasboras would work well. Then you could get some sort of bottom dweller - maybe 6 small cories (again, about 2") like sterbas, or maybe a single ancistrus or small catfish (4" or so).

Angels do get big! I had one that was 4 yrs old, shes since passed on, but she was the biggest angel I had seen in my life. Fins and all, she was bigger than my full grown bloody parrot and my Severum. I have two more angels, and they are getting to be her size too. I've got them in a 30 gal. They were in my 55 gal and I guess thats why they got so big.
